Here’s what I did last week!
8/6 Friday Salad: The Basics:
1 large head of green lettuce, rinsed and chopped
1 head iceberg lettuce, cored, rinsed and chopped
1 each orange, red and green bell pepper, sliced
½ red onion, thinly sliced in half moons 1 pint grape tomatoes
1 hot house cucumber in half moons
6 oz sharp cheddar cheese in 1/2inch cubes
1 package of dry salami, julienned
1 package of croutons
Toss all of the above ingredients.
Dressing:
¾ cup white wine vinegar
½ cup balsamic
¾ cup olive oil
3 tbs dijon mustard
1 bunch fresh oregano, minced Garlic powder, and S&P tt.
Stir above ingredients and let marinade ½ hour. Drizzle dressing on salad. Toss.
